There does appear to be one very minor splinter missing on his back tail feather. The woodpecker is precariously balanced on the delicate branch and does wobble but seems to be securely attached. It appears to be in pristine condition ready to be enjoyed by you for years to come.

    Vintage Mid Century Carved Wood Bird Woodpecker Balanced on Branch
    He is constructed with a variety of woods and he has a stone or possibly bone used on his head to give nice contrast.  He has a great Retro Mid Century vibe.

    This amazingly beautiful figurine is in excellent used condition. There are no obvious chips or damage.
