Vintage Canvasback Drake Bobtail Duck Decoy, pegged two-piece body

Description

I have no idea where this regal looking Can comes from but I suspect Michigan.  Its bobtailed solid body is made from two pieces horizontally pegged together with four wood pegs, visible on the bottom at each "corner".  The eyes are countersunk metal tacks, once painted.  I bought this at a local antique center back in the 1980s and I've never seen another like it.  Measures 16 1/4" long x 8" tall x 5 1/2" wide.  The body is 11 1/2" long and the middle, light-colored portion has been repainted.
