    Description

Offered for sale are 12 pieces of America West Airlines silverware. There are 6 knives and 6 forks.
In 1996 the airline changed its aircraft livery and went to a more modern style of silverware as part of the updated image.  This modern style of silverware was used until 2005 when America West acquired US Airways and assumed its name.
At the time of its acquisition, America West had the unique distinction of being the only post-deregulation (1978) US airline still operating under its original operating certificate.
The airline's logo is located on the top side of the fork and on one side of the knife's handle. There is no manufacturer's name listed. The pieces are made of stainless steel, but the grade is not show either. I suspect it is either 18/8 or 18/10 grade. IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN MORE PIECES, LET ME KNOW BEFORE YOU PAY.  Another 12 pieces, maybe more, could be shipped without any additional postage cost.  Or if you want fewer than 12 (or more) additional pieces, they cost $.91 a piece.
I think these are very attractive pieces, much better than the really cheap looking pieces that often are seen with other airlines.
The pieces will be shipped via the US Postal Service to US addresses only.  As the seller and buyer both agree that the US Postal Service is an acceptable means of shipment, should the shipment be lost by the Postal Service, the seller and buyer will split the loss, resulting in 50% of the total payment to be refunded to the buyer by the seller. With hundreds of sales I have never had a shipment lost, but just in case.
